The 2019 Upland Pinot Noir was sourced from the upper blocks of our Gran Moraine Vineyard. On this hillside, the vines bask in the sunshine, building layers of fruit, while pulling underlying herbal and woodsy notes from deep in the earth.
Figs, black plumb reduction sauce, miso butter, nutmeg, mole sauce, tulip blossom, roasted marshmallow
Dark milk chocolate, squid ink, evergreen huckleberry, fire roasted eggplant, black elderberry, gamebird, earl grey tea
Inky black like a strong late autumn Pacific storm. Turbulent seesaw movement that is tight up front with a fuzzy electrical storm feeling mid palate. Acids pull forward hard, while the tannins pull backwards equally from the mid palate to the finish accented with an earthy herbal mélange of raspberry leaf tea
