The 2023 Telluric Pinot Noir continues the evolution of this singular wine from the far western edge of the Yamhill‑Carlton AVA. Sourced from our windswept, marine‑sedimentary vineyard perched in the Coastal Range foothills, this Pinot reflects the site’s natural tension and lift. The growing season delivered clean, balanced fruit, allowing the wine to express its trademark vibrancy and precision. Energetic and finely structured, Telluric captures the electricity of this remote corner of the Gran Moraine estate.
Telluric Pinot Noir opens with lifted aromas of lichen, miso, black currants, apple blossoms, western red cedar, and subtle brown‑sugar warmth, enriched by hints of elderberry and banana pepper. On the palate, it carries flavors of McIntosh apple, fennel seed, pink grapefruit, dusty baking chocolate, and earthy oyster mushroom, all wrapped in a naturally energetic texture and tight, vibrant structure. This is Pinot Noir shaped by the wild edges of the Coastal Range—fresh, expressive, and alive with tension.
